IF YOU HAVE BEEN USING THIS SCRIPT IN THE PAST YOU NEED TO UPDATE IT BECAUSE RS CHANGED THEIR SITE
Well I just found out about a new link checker from a friend. Its a javascript plugin for Firefox. Yeah lilium has one as well but even right clicking has become a hassle to me and lilium locks up my browser windows while it checks. This check links as soon as you open the page
Part 1:
1> Install greasemonkey plugin
Code:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/downloads/file/30326/greasemonkey-0.8.20080609.0-fx.xpi
Part 2:
1> Install Link Checker Script
Code:
http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/9467.user.js
Goto:
Code:
http://hosts1.atspace.com/900rslinks.html
By editing the script and changing options to:
Quote:
// Options // //-------------// show_black_backround_in_dead_links = 'yes'; // yes or no |
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I haven't had any issues since installing this script. It doesn't freeze or lockup my browser, its really fast, and I don't have to tell it to check the links since it does it automatically.
If you have trouble getting it to work then make sure you have the following correct:
1> Firefox 2 or 3
2> Installed Greasemonkey and its enabled.
3> Installed Link Checker Script.
Confirmed working in Firefox 2.0.0.14 and Firefox 3 :!:
Hope it helps other lazy people like me  Also this is not my work. Mad props to the coder of this script!
